Sorry for not posting in a week, but I have a really good excuse!

Ok, so I know I haven't posted in a week, but I have a REALLY good reason for that...I found out on Friday (May 9) That I am pregnant! :D My husband and I have been trying for 2 years! So the last week has been a bit of a whirlwind mixed with a quick impromptu mini vacation to tell some family and friends out of state the big news in person!

With that said, I hope to have some new files up next week for all to see...I have some things I want to work on in the Finding Nemo clipart I have.

Garden is done! Oh yeah!

I finally got all my planting done on my patio garden (we live in a 2nd floor apartment...so no "actual" garden...) I have planted:

  • 4 Tomato Plants (2 cherry sized, 2 regular sized)
  • 4 Pepper Plants (2 bell, 2 jalapeno)
  • Greek Oregano
  • Cilantro
  • 7 white onion bulbs
  • 5 red onion bulbs
  • Chives
  • 2 sets of Begonia's (Pink and Red)
  • 3 sets of Snapdragons (Pink, Yellow, and Peach ~ I think)
  • Marigolds
  • 3 sets of Chrysanthemums (Yellow, Pink/Lavendar, White)
  • 2 Fuzzy's (can't remember their names...lol)
  • 2 Violas
  • 2 something elses... cute dark red/burgandy flowers
  • 2 sets of something elses again this time its smmallll itty bitty white flowers...
I am very excited about my garden...can you tell? We'll even be able to make our own salsa this summer! Yay!! (My hubby and rest of the family LOVE salsa...) I'll probably update with the actual names in the morning... I'll be adding pictures soon too... Oh, and the best part, the flowers and plants were about $26 total....yup...gotta love low prices! Lots of cheeriness for cheap cheap cheap! The stuff in blue is in an "upsidedown patio garden" I got from my local Sam's club...kinda like the Topsy-turvey...but a lot BIGGER...

Pet Layout

Hey all! So I actually completed a layout! It was for a challenge on the cricut messageboards.

My layout is about my DH's Family's pets they had, a cute shepherd/? mix named Sweetie Pie and a rescued cat named Ashley. I wanted to do this page as kind of a tribute for my DH so he could have a little memento of them as they have both passed away. (DH is the cutie in the picture with Sweetie Pie the dog)

The font used is Sergio print cut using SCAL, as were the circles. The card function used was from JOTS, the card with a blank opening. I welded in the dog and cat using AK then cut them again in the same size with regular and detail cuts. I hand colored them in to give them a bit closer coloring to their actual fur. I also used some cute dog bone/paw print brads I picked up at my local M's, papers are from J's. The fish queen embelie was something I got from my mom...have no clue where it is from~other than it is actually supposed to be something on the cats collar...but it was perfectly in-sync with Ashley's attitude so I used it on this page.

Here are a few pics:

Life, life, life....

It usually gets in the way of blogging doesn't it? LOL, Sorry all I was out of town and not here for a while...I'll try to post some new faith files soon, in different fonts :D Let me know what fonts you would like and what kinds of names/words you would like. Just wanted to check in and let you know I was still alive. :D

Picture Time!

OK...Sorry for taking so long with the pictures, but I am finally going to upload the pics to show you the cut files that you can download. There are currently 4 files, all in the same folder, the link to the folder is in my last post.

File 1 (in order they appear in the file)

Church in George:
This is a somewhat simple file currently but I have been thinking of some ways to make some cute stain glass windows to replace the more "standard" window there is right now....

Lamb of God:
This file is is RESIZABLE *Yay!* and contains 4 of the different names of God, Let me know if you have a specific name or spelling you would like to see (or different font (these are all Jasmine) you would like to see!

One note, see the red lines and arrows to the boxes AROUND the words JESUS, those WONT resize with the words, if you resize the words, you need to resize the box, but it *should* still have them as cut outs.

Resizable scallop cross:
This file is pretty much what the title says, made in George AND Plantin' Schoolbook so you only have to download one file, helpful if you have one cart and a friend has the other one :D

Last but not least, is the Shamrock file in George. This was my first designed cut file...ah memories.... If you don't have George but would like one designed for Plantin School book, let me know and I will make one up and put it in the folder for all to share too! (Yes I realize that St Patty's day is over and done with, but you still have to scrap your antics on that day, don't you?) *note, yes I realize in this pic it shows it above the cut line, I moved everything down but was too lazy to redo a pic...lol...

Whew, long post, wordy too, but now you can see what you are getting! I hope to design some more this week, but the posting will be a bit slow (again, I know) as I am driving ~5 hours away to visit my folk's in MN (all alone-eek!-keep me and the weather in your thoughts!)

Some Faith Files added!

I have added some faith files to my media sharing website. Please enjoy! The crosses and words are resizeable. You may need to change the size of the boxes for the Jesus part of the word files... I'll upload the actual pictures of the cuts tomorrow or so...but until then if you are brave you can download them yourself and try it out. Have fun!

Welcome Fellow Cricuteers!
